Hello!

Hi! I'm Kit, and I use they/them/it/its pronouns. My hair journey began around 2015 when I started giving myself/my friends all the "coolest" punk/emo hair colors and styles (and occasionally cuts) in school bathrooms during lunch hour and at home.

In January 2023, I had an opportunity to go to beauty school, and I am so grateful to be where I am because of it. My heart is with color work, especially as an abstract artist. I hope to get to a point where color is the bulk of my work.

In my personal life, I love processing bones, creating wet specimens, bone jewelry, and "dead" terrariums. I collect minerals and crystals (they are a favorite interest of mine, so ask at your own risk), porcelain harlequin dolls, platform shoes, and antique/goth fashion. I'm also a reptile and bug lover.

When you're in my chair, know you're in an open, understanding, and accommodating safe space. As someone who is neurodivergent and has personal experience with mental illness, I know there can be nerves and anxiety when getting your hair done, whether it's feeling pressure to make eye contact, talk, or coming in with "depression" hair that hasn't been taken care of. Whatever accommodations you need, I will do everything possible to make your dream hair happen (especially if it involves cool, funky colors)!
